Dr Jane Herlihy Dr Jane Herlihy MPhil DClinPsych CPsychol is a British Psychological Society Chartered Psychologist. Unfortunately she is not currently in practice. She qualified from University College, London, as a Clinical Psychologist in 2000 and is registered to practice as a Clinical Psychologist with the Health Professions Council. She worked previously at the NHS Traumatic Stress Clinic in Camden and Islington, offering specialist psychological treatment for people with trauma reactions. Dr. Herlihy is an honorary lecturer in psychology at University College London. Until her sickness absence, she was also Executive Director of the Centre for the Study of Emotion and Law (CSEL). All of her publications and more on this work are available at www.csel.org.uk. Through CSEL, Dr. Herlihy worked with lawyers, providing training on psychological aspects of legal decision making, including training on self-care. As well as providing trauma-focused CBT and EMDR, Dr. Herlihy draws on a Narrative Therapy approach in line with the needs of each client. She has presented and published papers regarding the treatment of adverse responses to traumatic events. She offers specialist supervision for psychologists working with psychological trauma, including work with refugees and asylum seekers.
